Curriculum

Graduated in Classical Literature (1999-2004) and specialized in Classical Archaeology (2006-2009) at the University of Catania. In Italy, she taught Greek and Latin Literatures and Ancient History. She taught Ancient Numismatics course in the “Conservazione dei Beni Culturali” undergraduate course in Syracuse (2007-2009). She has experience in First Restore, Research and Cataloging of Ancient Coins, as a collaborator in the museums of Syracuse (Paolo Orsi), Ragusa (Museo Archeologico) and Camarina (Museo Archeologico Regionale). Since 2013 she is doing her PhD at the Museu de Arqueologia e Etnologia da Universidade de São Paulo (MAE/USP) with the support of her previously CAPES scholarship and now with the FAPESP grant. The researcher studies Sicilian Archeology in the following areas: Greek and Roman Numismatics, relationship between Greeks and non-Greeks in Archaic and Classical Periods, Topography and Archaeological Landscape. She develops her PhD project, on the Phrouria of central-southern Sicily, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. M. B. Borba Florenzano.
